Park City Utah
Park City, Utah... This is life. This is the ultimate in thrills. This is nature at her finest. This is undisputedly where you really want to be. And although your holidays in Park City can be full of a lot of stress free laughs, if there's one thing we take seriously up here, it's recreation. The arts, fine dining, shopping, nightlife, festivals and culture - sure, they're great. But they're all just gravy to the year-round main course of wild and unparalleled recreation. For example, just 15 minutes from Park City runs the blue-ribbon Provo River. Famous for wild and large trout, this is a fly fisher's paradise! There is also mountain biking, hiking, hot air ballooning, skiing and year-round adventure in general. Put the words "world-class" in front of them, and you've described Park City and its surrounding mountains, rivers and valleys. In fact, fly fishers from all over the world are making the Provo River a must fish destination. And recreation seekers of all kinds have long known about the adventure spread throughout our hills. There's no such thing as a typical day up here. But here's our suggestion of how you might spend one: how about a day of fly-fishing, followed by relaxing and wonderful dining? Need we say more? If so, perhaps some poetic verse to persuade you.
This is a little ditty we call...
"The sound of"
The sound of this river, the smell of the flowers
The songs of the birds and the blue of the sky
The dance, the love, the magic of trout
And finally the tug of the line
It's evening now, your arm is tired
And you're sipping your favorite wine
She grins as you slur, recounting the day
Telling Lie after beautiful lie...
We know. It is touching.
And we'd get you a virtual tissue if we could.
Park City is a short 36, scenic miles from Salt Lake City International Airport. Both Delta Air Lines and Southwest Airlines have hubs here, and non-stop flights are available from around the country. Whatever your desire, there's something up here for every taste - especially those hungry for serious, and sometimes teary-eyed its so good recreation.
